Forgotten Soldiers

Good day all,

I generally don't vent at all, however, with little game time robbed from me, I decided to post this. I was kicked by the vote system 02/08/2015 at 2155hrs or there about's, headed by Deathrow558 calling me out as a cheat etc...so I advised that person to record it.  The people playing at the time are the following;

Walkerboy;Halfalife;---1965---;LenaPL;Bluey114;VenessofGod;Hansi-FedEx-;p0k-gai;wombslayr789;jayhaha.

I think the vote system is great but when you have some players with limited play and do not when is a fair kick, then that is a problem.  All it takes is a regular player to jump in and say something rather than remain buoyant to stop the vote system being used, so, please record it and post it unless it is clearly an aimbot etc... then fair enough although you still need to record it.  Deathrow558 you have robbed me of playing time.  Know what players are actually cheating and spectate rather than when you get beat then that person must be, please, do it properly.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention mista. You have always been a respected BIA member here and we always appreciate your input.  The only reason the voting system is enabled is so that players can vote kick a cheater if there are no admins available.  Unfortunately sometimes seasoned players such as yourself are mistakenly vote kicked by paranoid players that know very little about what they're doing.  And we do our best to educate players on the demo system but many just simply can never grasp the concept or even take the time to learn it.  So they continue with their ignorance and unknowingly continue feeding into the hacker problem.

Unfortunately we're all victims to those that use the hacks and those that create them.  Skilled players and unskilled paranoid players alike.  In my opinion we must never lose focus on who the real villains are, the people that create the hacks and those that use them.  And unfortunately Activision has decided to not renew their contract with Evenbalance and has not continued to provide us with PunkBuster support.

Here is a link to all our conclusive hacker demos banned to date on our CoDWaW HC server since last Christmas. Most of them banned by our admins and very few submitted by the public.  To date there are 304 conclusive hacker demos here.   Conservatively, our admin team bans approximately 2 conclusive hacks per day on our CoDWaW server.  So you can see what we're faced with:

As you can see, everyone on our admin team does a fine job at dealing with the hacker problem but we continue to struggle to keep up since our admins are few in numbers. So that's why we are forced to enable the voting feature.

The only reasonable alternative that I can think of is to disable the voting feature and allow cheaters that may join the server to hack it up as long as they wish if there are no admins available.  The bright side to this is that it may force players such as Deathrow558, Walkerboy, Halfalife, ---1965---, LenaPL, Bluey114, VenessofGod, Hansi-FedEx-, p0k-gai, wombslayr789 and jayhaha to start submitting demos as they should when a player is in question.  At this point it may be a good idea to disable voting since many players are abusing it by mistake or simply because they are being beat.  I will bring the option to disable the voting feature to a vote today with our clan members.  And hopefully we will decide to disable it for a trial run and see how it goes.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and hopefully we will come up with a sound solution that we can all agree on. And most importantly, to continue fighting the good fight against cheaters and those that want to ruin our gaming experience. Will get back to you as soon as we have made our decision.

We ended up perm banning Deathrow558 after reviewing the chat log for continuous unjustified accusations.  We know both mista and 1965 do not cheat. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Pulled from the chat log:

GS you and your team have dealt with this is a timely manner.  In relation to the vote kick,  I know you have made a decision for the greater good.  To you, Jar and the rest of FS admins, keep up the good work and thank you.
