Needs a bigger SSD I would say, and to decide on air cooled or water cooled. You definitely need a PC!

for $20 or $30 more depending on sale pricing I would consider the GTX1060 over the RX480...
I don't think the RAM matters as much when you compare benchmark test results

this why i asked for feedback xD
Still many things to consider but all is appreciated, I haven't built a desktop since Cod2 was most popular if that says much LOL

I use this site to compare video cards, they also do comparisons for CPUs, hard drives, RAM and whole systems even....
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

I like that you can look at a long list of all cards, use your keyboard to search in the page and find a specific card, then another to see how they rank against each other - there is also a searchable list and compare feature built in

Edits to my list thus far adding the GTX 1070 and some extra fans for the case, will look into a bigger SSD

nice!
I am upgrading my current rig - can't drop enough $$ for a 1070 though

bigger SSD is good, now that I look at it - my SSD (for just games) is 480Gb and I wish it was twice the size!!!

I gotta go all out ya know? Haven't had a build in a long time
Title: Re: Possible build
Post by: ~FS~grizz on April 10, 2017, 04:32:29 PM
haha, of course!
I just checked and the best deal I can get on a 1060 is less than HALF the price I would pay for a 1070!!!

Can't do it, but at least this ole rig has done well for a few years on the original build - good plan to go all out, might be awhile before another or an upgrade!

Yes yes lol, this is gonna be one expensive rig when Im done, maybe I'll get a few games for it afterwards if I have money to spare lol

I really do hope I can get it all in soon enough tho, going alittle mental without playing when I can.

Okay, beat your price ;D
Also included the GTX1070 for comparison.
Keep in mind this is with Prime shipping and sales Tax has to be added for your State.
A Lot of these items ship for free and you can do a 1 month free trial of Prime membership so it's a good deal :)

For around 750 bucks
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JMZ360/saved/YR9YJx

Windows 10 Professional around $30

This is really all you need

for the operating system, a windows 10 oem key https://www.kinguin.net/category/19429/windows-10-professional-oem-key/

8gb of 2133mhz ram, more is unnecessary

If you dont plan on doing anything more than 1080p 60fps get a gtx1060, it runs most games on ultra at this resolution. Its going to be better to get a new GPU later if you really need one in the long run instead of getting a gtx 1070 now

for the cpu an i5 7500 is all you need for gaming.

for the hard drive i doubt anyone can fill a 1tb hdd with games, let a lone a 2tb, you dont need an ssd, doesn't affect performance at all, just faster loading times

a 500watt PSU is more than enough

an optical drive is unnecessary, all your drivers you can get online, as well as your operation system

if you decide to use other dealers instead of only newegg and amazon the price can go even lower

But if you do want something around 1600 bucks, i got something for ya.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JMZ360/saved/WCPdCJ

i7 7700k
gtx 1080
980gb ssd

Its worth noting that its better getting the gtx 1080 instead of the gtx 1070, because after the price drop, since the new gtx 1080ti just came out not long ago
