Title: Agony Server problem
Post by: ~FS~a cuddly puppy on July 30, 2010, 09:18:33 PM
Every time I join the Agony server I get repeated McAfee virus scan alerts of a trojan virus detection. It freezes the screen and then sends me to the windows viruscan console which is not fun mid game-play. I figure I need to change the McAfee settings to exempt the agony server, but any specific suggestions would be very welcome.

Thanks.

hmmm, going to have to dig more on this one
not finding anything solid to relay as of yet
tho it seems as you likely know that it is a false alarm.

will research more and post later

Thanks -- I'll check with my IT guy from work too -- he is the one who set the security settings crazy high. (Well intentioned, but not always practical.....)

Turn off the anti-virus and just use a firewall while gaming.............
