Firefahkre can be great once you get to know it. Only problem is - that takes time.
Just like Kimo said, it has everything a proper objective map should have:
1. underground passage (for rushers)
2. ground level (for commuters and other peeps who haven't figured out the map yet)
3. first floor (to provide covering/suppressive fire for moving ground forces)
4. alternate routes (for flankers)
5. second floor (for snipers who can pick off stragglers and prevent potential flag capture/bomb plant/bomb defuse attempts in a heartbeat ;))

That being said, FireFahkre is one of very rare objective maps which can be played (even 1 on 1) with moderate to high success.

As for TDM, TDM should not be played on scrims, because despite having team in game type name it has very little (at best) to do with teamwork.

Reviving the thread for the purpose of COD 4 scrim.
Which server will we play on? Hardcore or Promod live?
I personally prefer HC cause snipers in promod are a bit easier to use. Or should I say .. abuse :P

Friendly fire? Disabled, enabled, reflect or shared? IMHO, shared is best, that way teammate in question knows he's not doing something right (like standing in friendly crosshair) and gets a second chance to reconsider his actions without hurting/killing the rest of his team in the process.

Map rotation? Nobody made any suggestions yet. Can I be the first?
First round should be reserved for warmup (FFA or domination).

My suggestions are as follows:
1. Broadcast FFA (great for all weapons including the shotgun) and/or
1 (alternative). Countdown/Showdown domination ... Countdown is more open and allows better explosive spam and doing longshots across the map ;D Showdown is better for getting quad or similar kill feeds and 6 man nades. Overall, Countdown is better because it can be played effectively with less people.
2. Crash TDM (crash is great for everything)
3. Crossfire sabotage (crossfire is great for everything too, but it just excels in sabotage and S&D)
4. Strike S&D with respawning, so nobody whine about being slapped with airstrike on the beginning of the round or owned hard by helibot/botcopter
5. Overgrown HQ (due to lots of ghillie suits on this map HQ is most dynamic, because it involves a lot of movement and relocation ... therefore everyone gets a breathing chance).
This map rotation involves playing every available game type in the game. It has it's pros and cons (mostly pros), but it'll satisfy everyone. Me :) if you like it and me :( if you don't.

P.S. Some of ya might prefer darker maps (Wetwork, Winter crash, Bog). You can include 1 of them as well.
